Say Hello to... Will Watson
The DJ and Producer currently rocking the UK Trance scene at its very foundations.
At the young age of just 20 young W2 is rising through the ranks set to be the next best thing in trance.
Boasting such a unique image, sound and style. Will Watson is a name you will be hearing a whole lot more of in 2008.
In 2005 Will started Resonate Records with Russ Ogden, better known as Akira Kayosa. Both Will and Russ have taken Resonate along with themselves to the very top of the game. Receiving regular support from the world's greatest DJ's such as Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Above and Bayond, Sebastian Brandt, Aly & Fila, Alex MORPH, Tom Colontonio, the list really does go on. Resonate find their releases in the CD cases of pretty much every decent trance DJ there is.
Not contempt with just running a top class record label, Will's career so far has seen him play alongside some of the finest DJs mentioned above. Eddie Halliwell, John O'Callaghan, JFK, Genix, Tylor Leigh, theyve all been on a bill with 'Will Watson' following shortly behind.
Will's performances aren't just limted to the club or venue.
Resonate is Will's monthly show broadcasted the best Trance and Progressive radio station to grace the internet, AfterHours.FM. There he plays an hour of his trademark style in both mixing and tunes and while he's at it, he showcases a whole bunch of new Resonate Records material and exclusives from the finest record labels in the world.
Will Began to spin at the age of 16, and like most DJ's who started at the time he recieved influences from the DJ's pioneering at the time. The likes of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and Judge Jules all played their role in Will's facsination with trance. Not forgetting the early Clubber's Guide compilations from Ministry of Sound.
In 2003 Will began to promote himself as a DJ to his local nights. This was how he met Russ. They played the same gig one night and instantly became good friends.
Will is always trying to maximise his potential and is currently studying an Engineering Degree in Sound and Studio Technology at Glyndwr University in Wales.
2008 is already set to be a huge year for Will. His remix with Akira Kayosa of 'Van Gelder - Together' released on Resonate in January kicked things off to a great start. So far Will has played some awsome events. More recently at the legendary Passion who are celebrating their 13th birthday this year.
Keep those eyes and ears alert kids. Will Watson is sure to be a name in the mouths of clubbers for years to come.
